COSTAMBAR BEACH.
One of the nicest beaches on the north coast. This retirement community with lots of accommodations for snowbirds is very quiet except on weekends when the Dominicans liven up the beach on their days off.
|
PUERTO PLATA BEACH.
This beach is a very small one in front of the Puerto Plata Beach Resort just left of Long Beach on the Malecon. Never very crowded except on weekends when the Dominicans come down on their day off to enjoy the ocean.
|
PLAYA DORADA BEACH.
The Playa Dorada complex comprises of 15 major hotels all of which are all-inclusives. They post signs at each end of the beach advising tourists that they will not be responsible for your safety beyond this point. Thus scaring the tourists into never leaving complex and missing out on the beautiful latin culture of this island. Notice how busy and crowded this beach is, but you'll not see a Dominican unless he or she is working for one of the resorts.
